In the summer of 2019 we went on a quick trip out to the Prairies to pick up an item I had bought on Kijiji.
On the way home, we decided to take a small detour to drive the Kananaskis Hwy (AB-40) in Alberta, having heard that it was quite beautiful. The information was not wrong - it was stunning, with big loopy corners on the highway and big elevation changes. The landscape moved from low rolling hills into the breathtaking heights of the Canadian Rockies. And all along the way, we went in and out of cattle country.
Next time we drive this route we plan to do it on the motorcycles and the best part is that it's just a 3-day return trip from home.
