I'm pleased to say I've joined RE/MAX All Pro Realty in Trail. It's an exciting change for me and I'm looking forward to seeing what Real Estate brings over the next few years.
As some of you know I re-opened just the Canadian sales online in March. Unfortunately, I have had to close it this month.
There weren't enough sales to warrant keeping it open and as much as I wanted to be able to service my Canadian customers in CAD I couldn't do it with a negative income every month.
If you want to buy digital versions of any designs you can email me ( clothwerx @ gmail.com - minus the spaces) and pay by CC or Paypal. $16 CAD plus applicable taxes - Canadian and international sales.
I have sold my printer, so I will no longer be selling patterns on paper rolls.
I seem to have dropped off the map for a while there.
Didn't mean to disappear, just severely underestimated how much work going to college for the first time would be for me.
I have literally been immersed in work in the studio. I'm now on winter break for a few weeks and trying to catch up with some of the things that I had to let slide while I was meeting school deadlines.
Having said that, I have to add that it is sooo fun. I'm loving being in the Textile Studio course and am excited about where I can go next with this. I'll post more on my work soon...
I have a design in the Betabrand Challenge.
Click here to go to the voting Page. You have to scroll until you find my design called "Lunch at Montserrat". Select it and then Submit it to vote.
I love taking classes. Right now I'm working my way through a drawing class on Skillshare with Shantell Martin.
She gives you some very simple exercises to draw and then demos how she would do it. I don't think I'll be drawing as smoothly and intuitively as she does anytime soon, but it's fun to tackle them and try.
You can click on the image to see more of my project for this class.
I've just opened up a new store in CAD for paper and one for digital. You can find them online here:
This is in response to the abysmal performance of the Canadian dollar in recent months, making it way too expensive for my Canadian customers to purchase out of the US.
The reason for two stores is that often people get digital and paper in the same cart - not realizing that once they are purchased they can't be returned - especially the digital. So, I've separated them out in the hopes that it will be easier to customers to purchase and for me to manage that way. I've clearly marked every design with either paper (on ClothWerx) or digital (on DigiQuilter), so it should be easy to see which site is which.
Michelle at WillowLeafStudio.com is still selling all the designs as usual and she will still handle all wholesale orders. I'm selling digital and Canadian paper roll orders for retail customers.
I hope you'll check out the sites and let me know what you think.
I wanted to let you know that I’ve added a gallery for all my designs, but they aren’t in there yet, just a couple of placeholder images.
I’ll be working on this over the next week or so – really not sure how long it will take as I have a lot of designs. Hope you will let me know how you like it as I get them added into the site.
Also, if anyone has some good photos of any of my designs quilted that they would like to share please let me know. I’d love to have “real life examples” if possible.
Have a great Sunday! Thanks for hanging in there.
Argh! I decided today was the day I would work on the computer - and wouldn't you know it - it's gorgeous outside. I'm sitting here watching the leaves fall off of our big maple and really wishing I were outside and not in my office.
Hope you are getting a chance to be out enjoying this lovely fall weather.
Looking forward to seeing this. I've always been a huge fan of Bond films.
Funny thing is that ever since I quit my full-time job, I've been busier than before. How is it that I'm working on a Sunday again!
